Collection: Sue Hague "Holdsworth House Nostalgia Blue"

Sue Hague's "Holdsworth House Nostalgia Blue" is a mixed media creation that combines the delicate intricacy of paper collage with the soft hues of coloured pencil, spanning 380 x 510mm. The piece presents a dreamlike vision of Holdsworth House, transforming the historic manor into a tapestry of memory and sentiment.

Hague's artwork invites a contemplative gaze, with its patchwork of patterns and pastel tones that give a sense of both whimsy and timelessness. It's as if the viewer is peering through a kaleidoscope of history, seeing the manor not just as a structure of stone and mortar, but as a mosaic of stories, emotions, and the gentle passage of time. This nostalgic rendering of Holdsworth House is a poetic ode to its enduring legacy.

Our Gentleman Cat

Eric is the resident cat at Holdsworth House Hotel & Restaurant in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Adopted as a stray, he has become a firm favourite with our guests. He's always on hand to welcome new arrivals and has been known to photobomb wedding shots!

He can generally be found in the hotel reception welcoming guests.

The fantastic "Gentleman Cat' illustration was created by illustrator Jo Bird and inspired by the BBC/HBO TV costume drama Gentleman Jack that was filmed nearby.
